Instead of being immersed in water, this bath immerses you in peaceful live sounds from a range of hand instruments ranging from the mystical tones of gentle chimes to a large buffalo drum with vibrations you will feel deep inside you.

What Basically Does It Look Like?
For a sound bath, you’ll be lying on a soft pad, with pillow, blanket, and bolsters available so you can create your most comfy, cozy position. Once settled, a variety of sound instruments (e.g., chimes, singing bowls, tongue drum & other percussion, rain sticks) will be introduced gradually. The sound sources will move around you and around the space you are in, sometimes in succession other times blended, to explore different effects. There’s no particular formula or sequence, it varies with each person. You can always “wave off” a sound you don’t wish to continue but you’re encouraged to simply experience what you are experiencing. At the end you are left in peace to be, to reflect, and to return to reality in your own time. More detail can be found in experience descriptions.
Where Does It Take Place?
The sound bath is done in a large yurt, with panoramic windows to the forest and transparent dome for sky-gazing, you will feel like you are nestled organically into the woodlands. And the yurt, having fabric walls, allows in ambient sounds… animals calling or rustling about, rain pitter-patter, or the breeze flowing through pine boughs to name a few… making for a nature-immersed sound bath experience like no other.
Why Can It Be Beneficial?
At the very least, most people find a sound bath deeply relaxing. Many fade in and out of semi-wakefulness, or actual sleep, in a way they do not typically get to experience–sometimes with interesting dreams, imagery and colour. Some sound bathers find that certain instruments or tone frequencies affect their body, often in a way they feel in their soul. In particular, a favourite is the large 24″ diameter Buffalo Drum which, when beated, produces deep vibration felt through your torso.
